Do you Travel?
Yes! Absolutely! I love to travel and am regularly packing (and procrastinating on unpacking). I likely already have some trips scheduled so be sure to check my travel dates on instagram or email me for more info. If I've already planned a trip to a location you'd like to have your shoot, you may be able to avoid travel fees!
How long have you been doing this?
I have been a photographer my whole life. I got my first DSLR when I was in fourth grade. Miranda Kate Creative was established in 2020.
How many photos do we get?
It depends on the type of session. Couples sessions typically include 35-50 images. Weddings and elopements can be anywhere from 250-850 photos depending on the length of the session.
How do we get our photos?
Your photos will be delivered to you via email. The email will direct your to your digital gallery where you can download your album and order prints.
Do you retouch photos?
No, not typically. I provide the typical basic retouching for small skin blemishes, fly-away hair, and occasional background elements that may be distracting such as small signs or branches. Any extraneous retouching can be added on for approximately $150/hr. Please email for more info.
Whats your turn around time?
My current turn around time is about two weeks for couples sessions and six to eight weeks for weddings. I will let you know a more accurate estimate at the time of the shoot.
How do we book you?
To book me, please scroll to the bottom of the page and click contact or go to the menu at the top right of this page and select contact. From there, please fill out the inquiry form and I will respond within 1-2 business days. Be sure to check my instagram page for any updates on my travel schedule as this can affect my response rate. I respond to EVERY email I receive, so if you haven't heard from me please feel free to follow up over email or instagram DM!
Can you help us with planning?
Absolutely! I am not a wedding planner, but I am more than happy to help with anything within my skills and expertise. I require all wedding clients to collaborate with me on their timeline to ensure success of the photos.
How far out do you book?
I typically book anywhere from 1 month to a year in advance. If you have your heart set on a date, please reach out ASAP to ensure that we can hold that date for you on my calendar!
What should we do for an engagement session?
Your engagement session can be anything you want it to be! I've done hiking engagements and city engagements regularly. Some session ideas I'd LOVE to do more of are in-home, at the beach or lake including in the water, longer hiking sessions, at an arcade or amusement park, or a picnic. I have so many ideas so don't be afraid to ask!
What should we wear?
Whatever you want! I typically recommend you stick to earth tones to ensure the best look post-edit but that being said I want you to feel confident and comfortable. Here's a Pinterest board to inspire you: https://pin.it/2NjF9dD
Do you provide partial day coverage?
Absolutely! My wedding packages start at 4 hours and can go up to full day or even weekend.
Do you do other types of sessions? i.e. headshots, seniors, maternity, events
Yes! I've done headshots, senior sessions, and events many times. I'd love to do more maternity and boudoir shoots. Please email me at mirandakatecreative@gmail.com to inquire about these types of shoots.
What rights do I have to my digital images?
You have the right to reprint images whenever you like and share them on social media. You do not have the right to sell your images or profit off of them without my written consent. You also do not have the right to share images with any brands or companies that approach you without my written consent. Please tag me (@mirandakatecreative) in your social media posts to help support my business and to connect your friends to my work!
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes. Many venues require your photographer to have liability insurance. I am happy to provide proof of insurance as needed.
